Yes! The Virginia Spirits Trail App is completely free to download and use on both iOS and Android devices.
Creating an account allows you to save your custom trails, track your check-ins and earn rewards as you explore participating Virginia distilleries.
When you visit a participating distillery with location services enabled, the app will automatically check you in after a short visit. No QR codes required.
We transitioned to a new app-based platform to provide a smoother, more functional experience for exploring Virginia distilleries, checking in, earning points and discovering new destinations across the commonwealth.
Yes. The new Passport experience will require downloading the new mobile app from the App Store or Google Play.
We will be transferring over any accounts that have 300+ points using the same email address associated with their current Passport account.
Accounts with fewer than 300 points will not have their balances transferred to the new platform. We encourage users to redeem any eligible rewards before the transition takes place, as remaining balances under 300 points will expire during the migration process.
Please use the same email address connected to your current Virginia Spirits Passport account to ensure your transferred points appear correctly.
Prior check-in history will not transfer over to the new platform.
