Twin Creeks Distillery is a family-owned distillery located in Rocky Mount, Virginia, the region historically known as the “Moonshine Capital of the World.” The distillery is deeply rooted in this local heritage, with the owner’s great-grandfather, James Walter “Peg” Hatcher, being a key figure in the area’s distilling past.
Twin Creeks crafts small-batch spirits using age-old distillation methods and locally sourced ingredients, including corn grown in nearby Callaway and fruits from local orchards. They honor the Franklin County tradition by producing pure grain whiskeys and their signature unaged spirit, 1st Sugar Moonshine, utilizing traditional equipment like a copper submarine-type still.
