River Hill Distillery
For over 200 years the ancestors of River Hill’s owners have farmed the same land on the floor of the Page Valley. Located in the shadow of the Massanutten Mountain where fertile land and easy access to water for irrigation have allowed for top quality grain production, today at River Hill, some of that grain feeds their cattle, while the rest feeds thirsts. Owned by Fred and Amy Foley, River Hill embraces the ‘locally grown’ ideology by using ingredients produced or grown on their farm or as locally as possible. Specializing in corn whiskey and bourbon whiskey, each starts with corn grown on the property, is shelled using a 100+ year old hand powered sheller, and then malted on-premise in small batches to maintain quality.
