Highlands Distilling Company

Highlands Distilling Company, LLC was established in 2019 by a US Navy veteran.  The ongoing vision was to create distilled spirits celebrating and highlighting the rich heritage of Southwest Virginia, the Blue Ridge Highlands, the military and first responders.

You can see this vision coming to fruition with the naming of our distilled spirits:  CAVU Straight Bourbon Whisky (Ceiling And Visibility Unlimited- in recognition of Naval Aviation); our War Horn products, Virginia Whisky and Virginia Rye Whisky, named in honor of LTC Sean Schumaker (brother of Scott Schumaker, Highlands’ Master Distiller); Trooper’s Virginia Single Malt Whisky, in recognition of all first responders; Revelations Virginia Smoked Whisky, celebrating those who settled this region, the Scotch and Irish; Shiner’s Gold Moonshine, recognizing a unique part of our history and Highlands Navy Strength Gin, in honor of those who fight for our country upon the seas.
