Copper Fox Distillery – Sperryville

Copper Fox Distillery, founded by Rick Wasmund, is the first North American distillery since Prohibition to utilize a traditional malt floor and kiln. This Spotsylvania-based operation is recognized for its grain-to-glass philosophy, notably using hand-malted, locally grown barley that is uniquely smoked over various American fruitwoods like apple and cherry instead of peat.
