Summer on the Southside, featuring Catoctin Creek

This is a collaboration between Matt Savopoulos and I. It a refreshing riff on a Southside, with a few summery ingredients to set it apart.

INGREDIENTS
1.25 oz. Catoctin Creek Watershed Gin
0.75 oz. Lime Juice
0.5 oz. Cointreau
0.5 oz. Simple Syrup
0.5 oz. Grapefruit Juice
One Small Pinch of Mint (approximately 8 leaves)
1 Dash of Angostura Bitters
2 Dashes Peach Bitters (Fee Brothers is fine)
2 oz. Soda Water (or desired preference)

PREPARATION
In a one pint mason jar. Add mint. Muddle lightly. Add the rest of the ingredients to the glass except soda water. Add ice to fill. Attach to a shaker and shake thoroughly. Add Soda Water and then Ice to fill mason jar. Garnish with lime wheel and mint sprigs.

Once in a Blue Moon, featuring Belle Isle Moonshine

Fresh homemade lemonade with local, organic blueberries combines with Belle Isle Moonshine for a one of a kind experience!

INGREDIENTS
1.5 oz Belle Isle Moonshine
4 oz Lemonade
8 ea Blueberries

PREPARATION
Muddle the blueberries lightly, add Moonshine, then ice and finally the lemonade. Stir very lightly to just swirl up the blueberries.

Turn You Back Into A Stranger, featuring Belle Isle Moonshine

A tasty moonshine mix.

INGREDIENTS
3 dashes of Peychaud’s bitters
3 dashes of orange bitters
1/4 Branca Menta
1/2 Cocchi Americano
1/2 Amaro Montenegro
1 1/2 Belle Isle Honey Habanero Moonshine

PREPARATION
Stir in a mixing glass 50-60 times. Pour in a chilled Nick and Nora glass. Add one orange twist.

Melody Day, featuring Belle Isle Moonshine

Great for warm weather sipping.

INGREDIENTS
1/2 oz lemon juice
1/4 Creme de Cassis
1/4 Elderflower Syrup
1 1/2 Belle Isle Ruby Red Grapefruit Moonshine

PREPARATION
Shaken 20 times. Poured over ice in a Collins glass. Topped with dry sparkling wine and a lemon twist.

Appalachian Spring, featuring Boar Creek

This cocktail is a simple whiskey smash with very little added to it.

INGREDIENTS
2 oz Boar Creek Appalachian Whiskey
1/2 oz Simple Syrup
5 drops Woodland Bitters
5-8 mint leaves 1 lemon wedge
Sparkling water 

PREPARATION
In a rocks glass, muddle the mint and lemon wedge with a light sprinkle of raw sugar. Add the whiskey, simple syrup, and bitters. Add ice and top with soda water. Roll the drink in a shaker and garnish with a lemon wheel.
