Maple Old-Fashioned, featuring A. Smith Bowman Distillery

1.5 oz Bowman Brothers Bourbon
1/4 oz Barrel-aged maple syrup
2 dashes of aromatic bitters
Orange peel (optional)

Combine Bowman Brothers Bourbon, maple syrup and bitters in a rocks glass. Stir until maple syrup is diluted. Add ice cube, garnish with orange. Enjoy!

Wild Thoughts, featuring A. Smith Bowman

Naming the cocktail is one of the hardest parts! It’s usually a group effort. Velvet Falernum is from Barbados, as is Rihanna. So naturally her super catchy new song “Wild Thoughts” fit perfect!

1.5oz Bowman Brothers Small Batch Bourbon
.5oz Velvet Falernum
.5oz spicy pineapple syrup
2 dashes Angostura Aromatic bitters
.25oz Goslings Rum floater

Build in a mixing glass. Stir with ice until chilled. Strain over a large ice cube.

Up-South 75, featuring A. Smith Bowman

This is a riff on a classic French 75.

1oz A Smith Bowman Sunset Hills Gin
.5 Lustau Vermut
.5 lime juice
.5 simple syrup
.5oz Cantaloupe juice

Juice cantaloupe in a masticating juicer or blend cantaloupe flesh and then strain. Shake all ingredients and strain into a Champagne flute. Top with A Virginia Sparkling wine, such as Thibaut-Janisson Virginia Fizz. Garnish with a lime wheel.

The Sassy Tomato, featuring A. Smith Bowman

Not at all what you would expect when thinking about a tomato cocktail. The Sassy Tomato is herbaceous, light, and has a nice spritz.

Sassy Tomato:
1.5 oz Sunset Hills Gin
1.5 oz Tomato Shrub
.5 oz lemon Juice
Splash Soda Water
Anise Hyssop Sprig
Basil Sprig
Lemon Wheel

Tomato Shrub:
1 lb Tomatoes
1 lb Sugar
1/4-1/2 Cup Red Wine Vinegar
1 Stalk of Celery
A few Sprigs of Anise Hyssop
A few Sprigs of Basil
A few Sprigs of Cilantro Salt to Taste.

In a shaker combine the gin, shrub, and lemon juice… add ice and shake till chilled. Splash the soda water in to the shaker and strain the entire contents over fresh ice in a high ball. Garnish with the fresh herbs and lemon wheel.
