This is a bitter sweet take on the classic Manhattan. It’s boozey with a bitter bite that has a touch of sweetness which balances out to be the perfect evening beverage on a cool fall or summer night. Or any night for that matter. If you like classics such as the Manhattan, this should be right up your alley.
Chilled coupe glass
1 1/2 oz Catoctin Creek Roundstone Rye
1 oz Dolin Rouge Vermouth
1/2 oz Cynar
1 dash bokers bitters
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass. Add cracked ice and stir for up to 12 seconds or until you feel the ice start to release and the drink is diluted enough but not too watered down. Strain this into your coupe glass and garnish with the twist of a lemon. You can enjoy this drink on the rocks if you wish.
